Retro Cars & Trucks
I first saw Joshua Hrehovcik’s photographs on Instagram in early 2021. His images were mainly of recognizable spots along the coast of Maine and New Hampshire. Often taken at an interesting angle, and accompanied by humorous text, they made you want to visit that spot, to know more about that old building or to say, “Hey, I know where that is!”
After telling Josh how much I liked his pictures, I asked him if he’d considered putting a photo book together. He was enthused and so we decided to collaborate; Josh supplied the photographs and text and I designed the book and published it through KDP Amazon.
There’s nothing like getting a box dropped on your doorstep full of 8 1/2 x 11paperback with a shiny cover and pages full of bright, colorful images, and to know you made it.

Now, a year-and-a-half and six books later, we have our Retro Roadtrip books in stores, galleries and museums from mid-Maine all the way down to New Hampshire.
Our recently published book Retro Roadtrip: Cars! (and a couple of trucks) includes two fascinating classic car museums – one in southern Maine, the other in New Hampshire – as well as some cool retro autos seen on the street. Here are some of Josh’s favorite photos from the book.
Maine Classic Car Museum
When you take a drive on Route 1 in southern Maine, make sure to stop by the Maine Classic Car Museum in Arundel. You will be able to ogle over 50 amazing automobiles assembled under one roof including an ultra-rare 1948 Tucker 48.
The Tucker was the brainchild of Preston Tucker, subject of the 1988 movie Preston Tucker: The Man and His Dream and only 51 examples of this famous vehicle were produced.
The Maine Classic Car Museum is located at 2564 Portland Rd. (Route One), Arundel, Maine.

North East Motor Sports Museum
Your Retro Roadtrip won’t be complete without a visit to the amazing North East Motor Sports Museum on the grounds of New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, New Hampshire.
Bring your favorite gearhead to take in the displays of race cars and motorcycles, and maybe even challenge them to a spectacular slot car race. The North East Motor Sports Museum is operated largely by a dedicated group of volunteers so a contribution to the donation box is always appreciated.

Keep on Truckin’
Nothing says sturdy like a good ole pick’em-up truck. Everything from a lovingly restored truck, to a been-around-the-block-a-few-times original, to a big rig, to an LL Bean Bootmobile – these examples are so very unique they deserve their own section.
THE RETRO ROADTRIP SERIES
Yes, we have 6 books in the series (as of the end of 2021), each full of colorful photos in an 8 1/2×11 paperback!
