From Wikipedia: The District No. 5 School, also known as the Alfred Gore School, is an historic one room school at 781 Gore Road in Alfred, Maine. Built in 1872, it was used as a school until 1921, and was restored to its appearance of that time in the 2000s. It is the best-preserved of Alfred's surviving district school buildings, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

I went for a walk yesterday with my dog, Chelsea,

I went for a walk yesterday with my dog, Chelsea, who you could hear whining if you turned up the volume, alongside the Mousam River in Kennebunk. The weather was gorgeous, the sky brilliant blue… And you can see the ocean straightahead on the horizon. The smell of fall leaves and salt marshes was wonderful.

The Lafayette Building in Kennebunk offers a view

The Lafayette Building in Kennebunk offers a view of the river as it flows toward the sea in the distance, along with the Kesslen Dam. This is the location of one of the earliest dams in the area, dating back to the 1600s. Over the centuries, the site has been home to a series of dams, initially driving sawmills and later, in the mid-19th century, local mills.
